MUTHE was officially registered with Mzuzu University's Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Landson Mhango on 27th March 2008 by its Trustees. MUTHE is now in the process of putting the group on track. The group has been officially launched by Sir. Boston Soko and Prof. Muzipansi Shumba on 18th May .
Mzuzu University TheatreHeights Ensemble simply “MUTHE” is Mzuzu University’s second theatre group. Its a society for anyone who loves live theatre be it acting, directing or simply going to see shows. MUTHE will be introducing extensive programme of shows throughout each academic year which will be staged in a number of venues in Mzuzu as well as some areas. Additionally MUTHE will run regular workshops on a range of topics such as acting technique, directing and improvisation with the support of the Department of Languages and Literature. Therefore all Mzuzu University students and staff will be welcome if they have a passion for Theatre.
