MUTHE'S GUILTY AS SIN, SIMPLY THE YEARS BEST

Mzuzu University TheatreHeights Ensemble (MUTHE) were in a spectacular class of their own in the just ended year when they enthralled theatre fans with their marvelous premiere of Guilty As Sin and Honoris Causa, the massive showcase of which took place in the jam packed Mzuni Hall, reports Charles Namalele's Masked Spying Press.

The Plays enjoyed a star studded cast , started off on a grand note as each scene was characterized by skyrocketing levels of splendor concocted with a speacial touch of grandiose humour.

Speaking in an interview exclusive to Masked Spying Press, MUTHE Trustee Gift Chingwalu said he was extremely happy as the actors and actresses lived up to the theatre outfits expectations." I am in seventh heaven; the issue on the ground is that we wanted to prove to the learned theatre fans that we are simply the best and we dont follow anyone in theatre circles - reason we are on position one. We have always given our audience well baked plays........." ethused he, and later extended a token of best wishes to all the MUTHE crew for doing justice to the best plays. He further extrapolated that the secret behind MUTHEs performances is having best actors/actresses in addition to writting the best plays. Asked to comment on reports that some are comparing MUTHE works to their own theatre-like crafts, Chingwalu laughed at it and tells this reporter that ' in theatre, the stage is the best place to prove a point and not in class where some student find theatre as greek, you know real playwrights do it on stage." The play used some lyrics from upcoming R n B sensational DIKTATOR ..........'akuti sine dolo ndimagwera, ngati zili zophweka bwanji osagwera.........

Chingwalu also ruled out any possible threat that those who are attacking MUTHE in classes are doing that to delete the sole Mzuzu University Student Represantative Councils' theatre group, Said he " Inu talimbana ndi ng'ona ife kuti MUTHE ifike pamene ilipa, ndiye buluzi ndi chiyani". (We have fought Crocodiles inorder to have MUTHE here and what can a lizard do) the MUTHE Trustee refused to comment further on the matter.

As we went to press, MUTHE had organised a party in honor of outgoing level 4 students members.
